Hyderabad temple tour buses will connect devotees to four prominent Goddess temples from October 17 to 20, with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation operating special services from its Ranigunj and Kachiguda depots during the festive season.
The special ‘Temples Darshan Tour’ services will cover Pedamma Thalli Temple in Jubilee Hills, Sri Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad, Balkampet Yellamma Temple and Bhagyalakshmi Temple near Charminar. The service is intended to allow devotees to visit all four temples using designated buses and stops along the routes.
TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagireddy announced the plan, under which buses will operate on two routes. One route will begin at Ranigunj Depot and pass through Secunderabad, while the other will start from Kachiguda Depot and travel via Afzalgunj.
The first services will begin at different times depending on the route, between 6.50 am and 9.20 am. Multiple trips will be operated throughout the day from October 17 to October 20, giving passengers several opportunities to board buses from the designated depots and stops.
The arrangement places two major city bus depots at the centre of the temple circuit. Ranigunj provides the starting point for the route towards Secunderabad and the northern part of the city, while Kachiguda and Afzalgunj serve the route towards the central and southern areas, including the Charminar side of Hyderabad.
For devotees, the special service offers a single public transport arrangement covering temples located across different parts of the metropolitan area. The temples included in the circuit are situated in Jubilee Hills, Secunderabad, Balkampet and the Charminar area, making the service dependent on coordinated movement across the city rather than access to one neighbourhood alone.
The announcement comes during a period when demand for temple visits is expected to rise because of the festive season. By scheduling multiple trips and allowing boarding at stops along the two routes, TGSRTC is presenting the service as a dedicated alternative for devotees travelling between the four locations.
The corporation has urged devotees to use the special transport facility for convenient temple visits. Passengers are expected to board at the designated depots and route stops, with the services continuing through October 20.
