The Mumbai Crime Branch has taken over the investigation into the firing incident reported at actor Tiger Shroff’s residence in Juhu, while police have recovered a Pulsar motorcycle allegedly used by three unidentified shooters, Mid-Day reported on October 19, 2026.
The case was initially registered and investigated by Juhu Police. Its transfer to the Crime Branch follows the seriousness of the incident and the need to identify and trace the three suspects who allegedly fled the area after the firing.
Police recovered the motorcycle near Andheri West railway station and brought it to DN Nagar Police Station for further investigation. Investigators are examining the vehicle’s registration details and analysing CCTV footage in an effort to establish how it was used and to trace the people who allegedly abandoned it.
According to the report, the motorcycle had changed hands several times before it was allegedly acquired by the shooters. The first owner was from Jogeshwari and sold the vehicle to a second person, who later sold it to a third owner. Police have questioned the third owner as part of the investigation.
The report said the third owner had received payment from the alleged buyers before Pitru Paksha, but the vehicle’s ownership documents had not yet been transferred. The formal transfer was reportedly scheduled after Navratri. Investigators are now examining this ownership trail and the circumstances in which the motorcycle came into the suspects’ possession.
The Crime Branch is also probing whether the unidentified shooters had any links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Mid-Day reported that the agency has previously investigated cases linked to the gang and may examine possible connections as part of the current inquiry. The report does not establish that such a link has been confirmed.
The recovery of the motorcycle gives investigators a physical lead in a case where the identities and motive of the alleged shooters remain unresolved. Police are expected to continue questioning people connected to the vehicle, reviewing surveillance footage and tracing the sequence of its movement before and after the incident.
The investigation will now be conducted by the Mumbai Crime Branch, which will focus on identifying the three suspects, determining the motive and establishing whether any organised criminal network was involved, according to the report.
