Telangana ACB Finds Rs.2.28 Crore Assets in Keesara Inspector Case

Telangana ACB disproportionate assets case involving property documents and seized valuables

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate-assets case against Keesara police inspector Arkapally Anjaneyulu, alleging that he acquired property and other assets through corrupt practices and means disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The case was filed under Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The ACB conducted searches at Anjaneyulu’s house and office, as well as four other locations linked to his relatives, associates and alleged benamidars, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle.

During the searches, officials found documents relating to several properties. These included two 150-square-yard plots, each with an old house, at Lingojiguda in Saroornagar, valued at Rs.30 lakh; an old 240-square-yard house at CR Enclave in Mansoorabad, valued at Rs.40 lakh; and an under-construction 180-square-yard house at Perur village, valued at Rs.50 lakh.

The ACB also reported finding two acres of agricultural land at Haliya in Miryalguda, valued at Rs.80 lakh. Further enquiries indicated that Anjaneyulu had acquired additional agricultural land in Haliya. The agency said the market value of the properties could be considerably higher than their official valuation.

The searches also yielded Rs.7 lakh in cash, gold ornaments weighing 60 tulas and valued at approximately Rs.5 lakh, a car valued at about Rs.6.50 lakh, and household articles and electronic gadgets estimated at Rs.10 lakh. The total value of the assets identified so far was estimated at Rs.2.28 crore. Verification of additional assets is continuing.

The disproportionate-assets case follows an earlier bribery case against Anjaneyulu. On September 16, 2026, when he was serving as inspector at Keesara police station, he was allegedly caught after demanding Rs.8 lakh and accepting Rs.5 lakh through his subordinate, sub-inspector D. Gyanender Reddy, for doing an official favour, according to the report.

Anjaneyulu was arrested on September 17 and produced before the ACB court. He is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison. The ACB plans to produce him before the court on a prisoner transit warrant, or PT warrant, in connection with the latest case.

The property details listed by the agency show how an investigation into an alleged police bribe has expanded into scrutiny of residential plots, houses, an under-construction property and agricultural land spread across Hyderabad’s urban and peri-urban areas. The ACB’s ongoing verification will determine whether further assets are added to the case record.
