ACB DA Case Finds Rs.2.28 Crore Assets Linked to Keesara Inspector

ACB DA case involving property searches linked to a Keesara police inspector

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered a disproportionate assets case against Keesara police inspector Arkapally Anjaneyulu, alleging that he acquired property and other assets through corrupt practices and dubious means during his service. The ACB estimates the total assets under examination at Rs.2.28 crore.

The case was registered under Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Following the registration, ACB officials conducted searches at Anjaneyulu’s house and office, as well as four other locations linked to his relatives, associates and alleged benamidars.

According to the ACB findings reported by Deccan Chronicle, the searches produced documents relating to several properties. These included two 150-square-yard plots, each with an old house, at Lingojiguda in Saroornagar, valued at Rs.30 lakh. Investigators also identified an old house measuring 240 square yards at CR Enclave in Mansoorabad, valued at Rs.40 lakh, and an under-construction house measuring 180 square yards at Perur village, valued at Rs.50 lakh.

The agency also found two acres of agricultural land at Haliya in Miryalguda, with an estimated value of Rs.80 lakh. Further enquiries indicated that Anjaneyulu had acquired additional agricultural land at Haliya. The ACB said the market value of the properties could be considerably higher than their official valuation.

Other items found during the searches included Rs.7 lakh in cash, gold ornaments weighing 60 tulas and valued at approximately Rs.5 lakh, a car valued at about Rs.6.50 lakh, and household articles and electronic gadgets valued at Rs.10 lakh. Verification of additional assets is continuing, according to the report.

The disproportionate assets investigation follows an earlier bribery case involving the inspector. On September 16, 2026, when he was serving at Keesara police station, Anjaneyulu was allegedly caught after demanding Rs.8 lakh and accepting Rs.5 lakh through D. Gyanender Reddy, a sub-inspector at the same station, in return for an official favour.

Anjaneyulu was arrested on September 17 and produced before the ACB court. He is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison. The ACB said he would be produced before the court on a production warrant, while further verification of the assets identified during the searches remains underway.

The case places the scrutiny of police corruption alongside the tracing of property acquired in and around Hyderabad. The ACB’s valuation includes residential plots, houses, an under-construction property and agricultural land, but the final assessment may change after the agency completes its verification.
