YEIDA Grants Approval for Film City Phase 1

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has granted approval for the revised layout of Phase 1 of the Film City project in Sector 21, Noida. This decision follows the consortium’s submission of a comprehensive plan addressing previous concerns, including compliance with land use regulations and the provision of necessary safety clearances.

The approved layout designates 230 acres for the Film City development, with 155 acres allocated for industrial purposes and 75 acres for commercial use. Phase 1, covering 80 acres, will focus on establishing a film institute and production studios. This phased approach aims to ensure that the core infrastructure is developed before any commercial ventures are undertaken.

In line with YEIDA’s guidelines, the developers are required to maintain a 15% green cover within the project area. The revised plan also includes provisions for fire safety and structural stability, aligning with the approved land-use plan. These measures reflect a commitment to sustainable development and adherence to safety standards. The Film City project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy.

By providing state-of-the-art facilities and training programs, the initiative aims to position Noida as a prominent hub for the film industry. Construction is set to commence following the approval, with the developers adhering to the stipulated guidelines to ensure timely and compliant development. The project’s progression will be closely monitored to maintain alignment with YEIDA’s standards and objectives.
