Two people were injured after the gate of an amusement ride broke at a Dussehra ground in west Delhi’s Vikaspuri early Tuesday, police said. The incident took place at around 1.36 am at the Dussehra Ground in F Block, where the two individuals fell from a ride identified as a “Mixer Ride”.
According to a senior police officer, the injured persons were first taken to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital for treatment. They were later shifted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where they were undergoing treatment.
Police said the preliminary findings indicate that the two people fell after the ride’s gate broke. The nature and severity of their injuries were not immediately specified in the police account.
The incident occurred at a temporary public gathering space hosting Dussehra-related activities in a residential part of west Delhi.
