Pune Voter Registration Camps Open Across All Polling Stations

Pune voter registration camps at a polling station for electoral roll checks

Pune voter registration camps will be held at every polling station in the district on October 17, 18, 24 and 25, giving residents additional opportunities to check their electoral roll details and submit claims or corrections before the October 26 deadline.

The initiative has been announced ahead of the finalisation of the electoral rolls. Residents whose names are missing, or whose personal information contains errors, can use the camps to seek additions and corrections within the stipulated period.

Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has asked eligible voters to verify their entries and report discrepancies during the special camps. Citizens have also been advised to carefully check their names and other particulars before submitting an application.

The district administration will deploy 21 Electoral Registration Officers, 647 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and 8,424 Booth Level Officers across Pune district for the exercise. The officials will assist residents with checking electoral roll entries and guide them through the process for additions, corrections and other changes.

Applicants must select the relevant form depending on the service they require. The administration has advised residents who find missing or incorrect information to complete the appropriate formalities before the October 26 deadline rather than waiting for the finalisation of the rolls.

The camps are designed to take the verification process closer to residents by using all polling stations as access points. This is particularly relevant for voters who may not have checked whether their details have been carried forward correctly or who need help understanding the application process.

Residents requiring assistance can access district-wise voter helpline numbers and details of support centres through the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra’s official website. The information is available at https://ceoelection.maharashtra.gov.in/ceo/Districtvoterhelpline.aspx.

The district administration has appealed to eligible citizens to use one of the four camp dates to verify their entries and submit any required claims or objections before October 26.
