Pune Expo Redefines Logistics Innovation Drives Sustainable Supply Chains

Pune recently hosted a landmark event for India’s burgeoning logistics and supply chain sector, with the 3rd Intralogistics & Warehousing Expo, co-located with the Material Handling Expo, setting new industry benchmarks. The three-day exhibition in 2025 garnered exceptional engagement, attracting 186 exhibitors, 9,763 visitors, 76 expert speakers, and over 1,100 VIP and platinum buyers.

This success underscores the accelerating pace of innovation and the sector’s commitment to adopting sustainable practices, crucial for building eco-friendly and efficient urban economies. The Intralogistics & Warehousing Expo has firmly established itself as a critical forum for showcasing advancements in warehouse infrastructure, logistics automation, material handling systems, storage solutions, and comprehensive supply chain management. This year’s edition, the largest to date, highlighted crucial trends driving the industry towards greater efficiency and environmental responsibility. Such platforms are essential for fostering dialogue around integrating zero-net carbon technologies and gender-neutral design principles within the logistics ecosystem.

Industry leaders lauded the event for its quality of engagement and tangible business impact. Representatives from major players like Addverb, Jungheinrich Lift Truck, and Craftsman Automation reported highly productive interactions and promising collaborations. Their testimonials consistently pointed to the high calibre of visitors and the significant opportunities for forging new client relationships, indicative of a mature market actively seeking sustainable and automated solutions. This sustained industry interest is vital for driving the necessary investments in green logistics infrastructure.

Beyond showcasing cutting-edge technologies, the expo served as a hub for thought leadership. The debut of Open House Sessions provided unfiltered discussions on critical industry challenges, including logistics hurdles in Pune and the future of warehousing through automation and data-led efficiency. These candid dialogues are instrumental in identifying bottlenecks and collaboratively seeking solutions that align with sustainable urban development goals, ensuring equitable access to efficient supply chains.

A significant highlight was the CEO Roundtable, a closed-door forum focusing on ‘Warehousing & Logistics as Growth Engines.’ This exclusive gathering of industry titans delved into crucial topics such as infrastructure expansion, the imperative of automation, the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and necessary policy reforms. The emphasis on ESG underscores a growing recognition within the sector of its societal and environmental responsibilities, paving the way for more resilient and ethically sound supply chains.

The Warehousing & Supply Chain Summit, drawing 289 delegates, featured insights from prominent brands including Flipkart, Zomato Hyperpure, Philips, and DHL. Discussions spanned smart warehousing, the evolution of 3PL (third-party logistics), and strategies to overcome India’s infrastructure bottlenecks. The collective discourse highlighted a strong industry drive towards adopting smarter, more efficient, and environmentally conscious logistics practices, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and equitable urban landscape. The success in Pune sets a strong precedent for the next edition, scheduled for November 6–8, 2025, in Bengaluru, promising continued momentum in shaping India’s green logistics future.
