The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for Mumbai, forecasting significant rainfall and localized flooding throughout the day. IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Air India issued travel advisories, cautioning passengers about potential disruptions. IndiGo advised travelers to monitor their flight status due to possible delays and slow ground traffic. SpiceJet echoed similar concerns, advising passengers to check flight statuses before heading to the airport. The heavy rainfall led to waterlogging in various parts of Mumbai, including areas like Wadala and Colaba, which recorded the highest rainfall in 24 hours. This resulted in traffic jams and delays for commuters. Suburban train services were also affected, with delays reported on both Western and Central lines due to waterlogging at stations like Marine Lines and Borivali.

The IMD has forecasted continued heavy rainfall over the next few days, and travelers are advised to check weather updates and flight statuses regularly.
