Maharashtra Gets 72MW Solar Push Under ₹236-Crore PM-KUSUM Order

72MW solar projects in Maharashtra across a ground-mounted solar farm

Truzon Clean Energies has secured a ₹236-crore engineering, procurement and construction order from Hariom Power & Energy Private Limited for 72MW of ground-mounted solar projects across Maharashtra, with the work being undertaken under PM-KUSUM Component C to support agricultural solarisation.

The projects are located in Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani and Beed districts. Hyderabad-based Truzon Clean Energies, formerly known as Suntek Energy Systems, said on Friday that 15MW of the contracted capacity has already been executed.

The company’s turnkey responsibility covers design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and performance demonstration. The scope places the contractor across the full delivery chain, from project design and equipment sourcing to commissioning and demonstrating operational performance.

Once commissioned, the projects are expected to generate approximately 89.89 million units of electricity annually, subject to final specifications and operating conditions, according to the company. The generation estimate represents the expected output from the combined 72MW capacity spread across the four districts.

PM-KUSUM Component C is the programme route under which the projects are being developed. In this case, the order is intended to support agricultural solarisation, linking ground-mounted renewable generation with the electricity needs of the farm sector. The announcement did not provide details on the individual project sizes, commissioning schedule, power-purchase arrangements or the specific locations of the plants within each district.

Truzon managing director Charugundla Bhavani Suresh described the contract as a major milestone for the company. Its chief executive officer, Srinivas Jakkula, said that execution across four districts would require coordinated engineering, procurement, site mobilisation and quality assurance.

Hari Om Industries managing director Roopesh Gupta said the award extended a six-year association between Hari Om and Truzon. He attributed the decision to Truzon’s quality standards and after-sales service, according to the company’s announcement.

The order adds to Truzon’s reported project record in India’s solar sector. The company said it has delivered more than 400MW of solar capacity and completed 15,000 installations across residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale segments. The latest contract is focused on ground-mounted utility-scale projects rather than distributed rooftop systems.

For Maharashtra’s four participating districts, the immediate implementation question will be how quickly the remaining capacity moves from contracted work to commissioned generation. The company has not disclosed a completion timeline, and the final annual output will depend on project specifications and operating conditions. The next milestone is the execution and commissioning of the balance 57MW covered by the order.
