The Hyderabad Traffic Police will impose traffic restrictions and diversions around IDL Lake in Kukatpally on October 18 during Bathukamma festival celebrations, with the measures in force from 5 pm to 11 pm. Commuters travelling towards Kukatpally Y-Junction have been advised to plan their journeys in advance.
Traffic heading from Hitec City, Madhapur and Hafeezpet towards Kukatpally Y-Junction will be diverted through Lucky Restaurant Signal, KPHB 4th Phase, Road No. 1 and the Remedy Hospital U-turn before reaching the junction.
An alternative route will be available through Rainbow Vista, Anjaiah Nagar X Road, Moosapet and Vasundhara Hospital towards Kukatpally Y-Junction. The diversions are intended to manage traffic movement around IDL Lake while the festival celebrations are under way.
The traffic police have requested commuters to cooperate with personnel deployed in the area and use the designated alternative routes during the restriction window. Travellers from the Hitec City, Madhapur and Hafeezpet sides should allow for route changes between 5 pm and 11 pm on October 18.
