The aircraft landed safely and departed again after the passenger was escorted off for medical treatment. Flight AI 186, carrying 162 passengers and crew, had made a scheduled technical halt in Kolkata before continuing onwards to Delhi.

Approximately 25 minutes into the resumed flight, the crew received notice of a passenger’s medical distress. “The aircraft took off again at 8:30 pm once the passenger had disembarked and medical assistance provided,” an Air India spokesperson confirmed.
