They warn that low-income communities, outdoor workers, delivery personnel and residents in tin-roofed houses face heightened heat stress. Limited shade infrastructure and inadequate access to drinking water points often compound the risk. <\/span>Authorities have advised residents to restrict strenuous outdoor activity during peak hours, prioritise hydration and use protective clothing while commuting. Urban climate researchers argue that while advisories help in the short term, long-term resilience will require structural interventions\u2014such as expanding tree cover, implementing reflective roofing programmes and integrating heat-responsive planning guidelines into future development.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Despite the harsh conditions, weather models indicate a potential shift later in the week, with the possibility of a marginal drop in temperatures if pre-monsoon winds strengthen.
