Hyderabad temple tour buses will connect four prominent Goddess temples from October 17 to 20, with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) operating special services during the festive season.
The special ‘Temples Darshan Tour’ services will cover Pedamma Thalli Temple in Jubilee Hills, Sri Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad, Balkampet Yellamma Temple and Bhagyalakshmi Temple near Charminar. TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagireddy announced the service, which is intended to help devotees visit all four temples using scheduled public transport.
The buses will operate on two routes. One route will begin at Ranigunj Depot and travel via Secunderabad, while the other will start from Kachiguda Depot and operate via Afzalgunj. Devotees will be able to board at the designated depots and at stops along the routes.
Service start times will vary by route, with the first buses scheduled to begin between 6.50 am and 9.20 am. Multiple trips will be operated through the day between October 17 and October 20, allowing passengers to use the service for temple visits across different parts of the city.
The route design links temple destinations in Jubilee Hills, Secunderabad, Balkampet and the Charminar area through two starting points in the existing bus network. This gives devotees the option of beginning their journey from either Ranigunj or Kachiguda, depending on their location and the route they intend to use.
The announcement comes as devotees prepare for festive-season visits to temples that are spread across Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Without a dedicated service, visitors travelling to multiple temples would need to combine regular bus services or arrange separate modes of transport for different parts of the city. TGSRTC has positioned the special buses as a convenient transport facility for completing the temple circuit.
The corporation has urged devotees to make use of the special services. It has not provided fare details, bus frequency figures or a separate timetable in the information supplied for the announcement. Passengers will therefore need to check the designated depots and stops for route-specific service details before beginning their journey.
The temporary service will remain in operation until October 20, after which the special temple tour arrangement is scheduled to end unless TGSRTC announces an extension or further festive services.
