Hyderabad Graduates’ Voter Roll Deadline Set for November 6

The deadline to submit applications for inclusion in the electoral roll for the MBNR-RR-HYD Graduates’ Constituency has been set for November 6, Hyderabad District Election Officer R V Karnan announced at an all-party meeting at the GHMC head office in Tank Bund.

The schedule concerns the preparation of electoral rolls for the ensuing polls to the graduates’ constituency. A public notice for the registration of electors was issued on September 28, according to Karnan.

The notice will be republished three times before the application deadline. The first republication is scheduled for October 15, followed by a second on October 25. Eligible applicants must submit their applications in Form-18 by November 6.

The draft electoral rolls will be published on November 25. A claims and objections period will run from November 25 to December 10, allowing applicants and other stakeholders to seek corrections or raise objections to entries in the draft rolls.

The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on December 30. The announcement establishes a sequence of deadlines for registration, scrutiny and correction before the final list is issued, but the source report does not specify the date of the ensuing election.

The constituency’s electoral roll preparation will involve election officials across nine districts. The Election Commission of India has designated all 19 Revenue Divisional Officers of the Graduates’ Constituency as Assistant Electoral Registration Officers.

The administrative structure also includes Tahsildars, Deputy Commissioners of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment Board. These officials have been appointed as Designated Officers based on instructions from the Election Commission and proposals submitted by the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and Revenue Divisional Officers.

The arrangement places the registration process across multiple layers of district and local administration rather than at a single city-level office. For voters in the constituency, the immediate significance of the schedule is the fixed window for submitting Form-18 applications and the later opportunity to examine the draft rolls and file claims or objections.

The next scheduled milestone is the first republication of the registration notice on October 15, followed by the second republication on October 25 and the November 6 deadline for applications.
