Hyderabad Gains Healthcare AI Hub With 35-Agent PharmaOS Platform

Hyderabad healthcare AI centre in a modern Gachibowli technology office

Altimetrik has opened a healthcare and life sciences Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, launching an agentic AI platform with more than 35 specialised agents aimed at helping clients move from concept to a validated workflow within a week.

The US-based AI engineering company opened the centre on Friday at its 22,000-square-foot office in Gachibowli. More than 300 Altimetrik employees are based at the site, which will bring together AI engineers and healthcare specialists to build tools for regulated applications across the life-sciences sector.

The new centre will work on use cases spanning drug discovery, clinical development, commercial operations, manufacturing, patient engagement and care delivery. According to the company, the platform is designed to connect with enterprise workflows and trusted data sources while retaining human oversight and accountability.

Called PharmaOS, the platform has been built on Altimetrik’s ALTi AIOS framework. The company said it includes more than 35 agents and accelerators for clinical and regulatory evidence review, GxP compliance, quality management, data modernisation and responsible AI. GxP refers to the quality and compliance requirements that govern processes and products in regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical environments.

The Hyderabad centre is intended to develop traceable AI agents for workflows where validation, documentation and accountability are required. Altimetrik said PharmaOS can provide clients with a validated agent operating on their own data within a week, although the report did not provide details of the platform’s current client deployments or independently assessed performance.

Altimetrik chief executive Raj Sundaresan said Hyderabad’s combination of pharmaceutical expertise and technology talent made it the right location for the Centre of Excellence. Ramji Vasudevan, the company’s healthcare and life sciences head, said the platform was designed to give clients a validated agent on their own data in a week.

The launch expands Altimetrik’s presence in India after its recent expansion in Pune. The company said its global headcount has crossed 11,000 employees following that expansion. Its Hyderabad facility therefore adds to an existing technology workforce while linking the city more directly to the delivery of AI engineering services for global healthcare and life-sciences companies.

The centre’s location in Gachibowli places it within Hyderabad’s established information-technology and business-services district. Its operations will also depend on the availability of specialised talent capable of working across artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical processes, data systems and regulatory compliance. Altimetrik did not announce a separate hiring target or investment amount for the new centre in the information reported.

The company said the Hyderabad facility will focus on developing and delivering the PharmaOS platform and related AI engineering capabilities. Further details on additional staffing, client adoption and the centre’s next implementation milestones were not announced.
