The Gujarat weather forecast indicates light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in parts of Saurashtra and south Gujarat towards the end of the week, while most of the state is expected to remain dry.
According to the weather department forecast reported by Gujarat Samachar, scattered rainfall may occur around October 19 in Bhavnagar and Amreli in Saurashtra, and in Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli in south Gujarat. The forecast includes the possibility of thunderstorms in some locations.
The expected rain comes as Gujarat experiences mixed weather conditions, with a difference of 13 to 14 degrees Celsius between minimum and maximum temperatures. While much of the state is seeing dry conditions, the variation is producing contrasting morning and daytime weather.
Maximum temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius were recorded in Bhuj, Deesa and Surendranagar, according to the report. These readings indicate that hot daytime conditions continue in parts of northern and western Gujarat even as isolated rain is forecast in the south and along parts of Saurashtra.
The limited rainfall outlook is also relevant to Navratri events and other outdoor activity. The report indicates that the possibility of rain-related disruption is largely confined to parts of the four identified districts and adjoining areas, while most of Gujarat is unlikely to receive rainfall.
The forecast follows the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from other parts of the country. Gujarat is expected to continue experiencing mixed conditions, with dry weather across most regions and isolated thunderstorms and light to moderate showers in the forecast areas towards the end of the week.
