Fabience will invest ₹50 crore to establish a greenfield furniture facility in Hyderabad, a project the premium furniture brand expects to complete by next year and which could create 100 direct jobs, the company said in a release on Friday.
The plant will use machinery from Italy and Germany along with automated manufacturing technologies. Fabience said the facility is being planned to expand its movable furniture capacity, covering products such as sofas, chairs, loungers and other standalone furniture categories.
The new unit will also support the company’s existing modular furniture business. The announcement comes as Fabience seeks to increase its manufacturing capacity across furniture segments, although the company has not disclosed the facility’s exact location, land area, construction timeline by phase or proposed production capacity.
Raj Venu Gopal Takkallapally, Managing Director of Fabience, said the project would generate direct employment opportunities for 100 people. The company has not provided a detailed breakdown of the roles, but the use of specialised European machinery and automation indicates that the facility will combine manufacturing operations with technology-enabled production processes.
Hyderabad-based Fabience has so far executed close to 3,500 projects across the residential, commercial and hospitality sectors, according to the company. Its portfolio includes premium furniture solutions for hotels and resorts across India, placing the new facility within a business that serves both individual property owners and institutional customers.
The investment will add to Hyderabad’s industrial and employment base while linking the city’s real estate, hospitality and commercial development activity with local furniture production. The company’s stated plan is to complete the greenfield facility by next year; further details on construction milestones, commissioning and hiring are yet to be announced.
