Delhivery has officially launched its On-demand Intracity Shipping service across Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, expanding its logistics footprint beyond intercity deliveries. Following a successful pilot in Ahmedabad, the service, now accessible via the Delhivery Direct app, promises parcel pickups within 15 minutes. The move marks a strategic shift to meet same-day delivery needs for urban consumers and SMEs.

Delhivery, one of India’s leading logistics technology providers, has scaled up its intracity operations by launching On-demand Intracity Shipping in two key urban hubs—Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru. The service is enabled through the Delhivery Direct app, where users can request near-instant parcel pickups and deliveries. This expansion follows the successful completion of a pilot programme in Ahmedabad, which demonstrated the growing demand for hyperlocal logistics.

The new intracity delivery solution is designed for speed and convenience. With a guaranteed pickup window of 15 minutes from the time of booking, the platform aims to service urban customers requiring rapid local deliveries. For small packages, Delhivery deploys two-wheelers, while larger consignments are handled via three- and four-wheeler vehicles, optimising fleet capacity and delivery timelines.

This offering is targeted at both individual consumers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly those involved in e-commerce, food, pharmacy, or local retail. With growing consumer expectations around same-day delivery, Delhivery’s service bridges a critical logistics gap—offering a cost-efficient and dependable last-mile solution in densely populated metropolitan areas.

Officials stated that the Delhivery Direct app, available on both Android and iOS platforms, is central to the user experience. Customers can schedule pickups, track shipments in real-time, and choose vehicle types based on parcel size. The app leverages Delhivery’s existing technological infrastructure, including route optimisation, real-time driver allocation, and digital payment integration.

Delhivery’s expansion into on-demand intracity delivery reflects a strategic evolution in India’s urban logistics landscape. By combining technology, speed, and service diversity, the company is well-positioned to meet the dynamic demands of both consumers and businesses. As logistics becomes a cornerstone of urban commerce, services like Delhivery Direct could set new benchmarks for efficiency and convenience in India’s last-mile delivery ecosystem.
