Buxar district administration has directed officials to fast-track 1,569 schemes under the Seva Sankalp and Kayakalp Abhiyan, setting deadlines for the renovation of existing public assets and construction of new infrastructure across rural and urban local bodies.
The directions were issued by Buxar district magistrate Sahila during a review meeting at the collectorate on Friday. The deputy development commissioner, assistant collector, district panchayati raj officer and other district-level officials attended the meeting. Municipal and block-level officials joined through videoconferencing.
The registered schemes have exceeded the district’s minimum target. Officials reported that 1,569 schemes had been entered against a target of 1,360. Under the state government campaign, existing public assets are to be repaired, renovated, painted and upgraded, while new infrastructure and other public assets are also to be created.
The administration has fixed November 30, 2026, as the deadline for repair, renovation, painting and upgrading work. Construction of new infrastructure and assets must be completed by March 31, 2027.
At least 10 schemes are to be selected in every panchayat and entered on the designated portal. The district magistrate instructed district-level officials and executive officers of urban local bodies to review schemes registered under their respective departments. Pending entries are to be completed promptly in coordination with block development officers.
All block development officers were asked to identify schemes that could be completed by the November 30 deadline and begin work without delay. Officials were also directed to monitor progress regularly, placing responsibility on departmental and local administrative units to track implementation after registration.
The campaign covers both the upkeep of existing public assets and the creation of new infrastructure. In practical terms, the deadlines will require officials to distinguish between work that can be completed during the current renovation window and projects that require the longer construction schedule ending in March 2027.
The district administration has also ordered detailed documentation of the work. Officials must preserve photographs and videos taken before and after renovation, along with records of the work undertaken under the campaign. These records will be used for review and monitoring.
The emphasis on documentation comes alongside instructions for regular supervision and adherence to prescribed timelines. The administration has not disclosed the location-wise list, department-wise breakup, project costs or the current completion status of the registered schemes in the information available.
The next operational steps are for block-level and urban local-body officials to complete pending portal entries, identify projects eligible for completion by November 30 and begin implementation. New infrastructure and assets covered by the campaign remain scheduled for completion by March 31, 2027.
