Four separate road accidents in Ahmedabad killed four people and injured one, with traffic police registering cases and beginning investigations into crashes involving a small goods vehicle, a tempo and a truck across Saijpur, Piplaj, the SP Ring Road and Naroda.

The first incident occurred in Saijpur Bogha, where 54-year-old Arvindbhai Pannalal Parmar was walking from Saijpur Tower towards G D Three Roads on the 11th when a speeding Chhota Hathi goods vehicle hit him from behind. The driver fled after the collision. Parmar was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died during treatment, according to the report. The G Division traffic police registered a case and began searching for the driver.

In another crash near Piplaj, 33-year-old Dipkumar Chauhan was travelling by motorcycle with his friend Gautamsingh Rajput towards Motipura Crossroads on the 19th. Police said a speeding tempo coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle, throwing both riders onto the road. The tempo’s tyre ran over Chauhan, killing him at the scene. Rajput suffered head and left-leg injuries and was taken to hospital. The K Division traffic police registered a case against the tempo driver and launched an investigation.

A third fatal crash took place on the SP Ring Road, where 23-year-old Vipul Thakor, a resident of Vav-Tharad, was crossing the road on a motorcycle after arriving in Ahmedabad from Mehsana on the 19th. A truck hit him, and he later died while undergoing treatment. The L Division traffic police registered a case and began investigating the circumstances of the collision.

The fourth death was reported near the Vyaspadi canal in Naroda. Lalitbhai Sonkar, 47, was travelling by motorcycle from Haridarshan towards Naroda village on Tuesday morning when a tempo allegedly turned from the wrong side and hit his two-wheeler. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the spot. The G Division traffic police registered a case and began further investigation.

The four cases involve different road settings and vehicle types, but each resulted in serious consequences for people travelling on foot or on two-wheelers. The reported allegations include speeding, a hit-and-run, a truck collision and wrong-side movement. The traffic police investigations are expected to establish the sequence of events and responsibility in each case.
