Cyberabad traffic police have announced vehicle diversions for motorists travelling from Hitec City towards Kukatpally on Sunday evening to facilitate Saddula Bathukamma celebrations at IDL Lake in Kukatpally.
According to a statement issued by the Cyberabad DCP (Traffic-1), vehicles travelling from Hitec City, Madhapur or Hafeezpet towards the Kukatpally Y-junction will not use their usual route during the restrictions. Instead, motorists will be diverted through the Lucky Restaurant signal, KPHB Phase 4, Road No. 1 and Remedy Hospital.
The traffic arrangement is intended to support the festival celebrations, particularly the gathering at IDL Lake. Saddula Bathukamma is the concluding day of the Bathukamma festival, and the traffic restrictions are being implemented around a major public event in the Kukatpally area.
Motorists will also be able to reach the Kukatpally Y-junction through an alternative route via Rainbow Vistas, Anjaiahnagar crossroads and Vasundhara Hospital in Moosapet, the traffic police statement said.
The affected movement corridor connects Hitec City, Madhapur and Hafeezpet with Kukatpally, linking several busy residential, commercial and employment areas in western Hyderabad. The diversions mean that commuters heading towards the Kukatpally Y-junction will need to follow the routes specified by the traffic police rather than continuing along their regular path.
