Truzon Clean Energies has secured a ₹236-crore engineering, procurement and construction order from Hariom Power & Energy for 72 MW of ground-mounted solar projects in Maharashtra, with the developments planned across Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani and Beed districts.
The order covers projects being developed under PM-KUSUM Component C and is aimed at supporting agricultural solarisation. Truzon said in a release that 15 MW of the total capacity has already been executed. The company will undertake the projects on a turnkey basis, covering design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
The planned capacity will be spread across four districts in the Marathwada region and adjoining areas of Maharashtra. The projects are expected to generate around 89.89 million units of electricity annually, although the company said the estimate remains subject to final specifications and operating conditions.
The order places the work within the infrastructure created under PM-KUSUM Component C, one of the components through which solar power projects are linked to agricultural electricity use. The announcement, however, did not provide details of the individual project locations, construction schedules, power offtake arrangements or the number of agricultural consumers expected to benefit.
For Truzon, the contract expands its role in utility-scale renewable-energy construction beyond its existing project portfolio. The Hyderabad-headquartered company, formerly known as Suntek Energy Systems, said it has delivered more than 400 MW of solar capacity and completed over 15,000 installations across residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale segments.
The company’s responsibilities under the new order extend from the initial design and procurement stages to the final testing and commissioning of the plants. This places execution, equipment sourcing and construction coordination within the scope of the EPC contract, while the final generation outcome will depend on the specifications and operating conditions noted in the company’s release.
The announcement comes as the four Maharashtra districts prepare to host a combined 72 MW of new ground-mounted solar capacity, with 15 MW already completed according to Truzon. Further project milestones, including the schedule for completing the remaining capacity and commissioning details, were not specified in the supplied announcement.
