Baramati water supply will shift to an alternate-day schedule from Sunday, October 18, after the closure of the Nira Left Bank Canal rotation reduced the water available to the town, according to the Baramati Municipal Council. Regular supply will continue until Saturday, October 17, in Baramati city, Rui and the Baramati rural area.
The municipal council said the alternate-day arrangement would remain in place until the Nira Left Bank Canal rotation resumes. It has urged residents to use the available water carefully while the reduced supply schedule is in force.
The revised arrangement will affect different parts of Baramati on separate days.
