A six-car accident on Hyderabad’s PVNR Expressway near Pillar No. 131 towards Aramghar triggered a traffic alert on Thursday night, with police and response teams reaching the site to clear the vehicles. Preliminary information indicated that no one was injured.
According to the report, one car first rammed into the divider on the elevated expressway. Five other cars then reportedly collided with the vehicle, resulting in a multi-car crash near the Aramghar side of the PVNR Expressway.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police alerted commuters about the incident and advised them to proceed cautiously through the affected stretch. The police said mobile staff had reached the location to assist with clearing the vehicles, while traffic personnel managed movement around the crash site.
Police also rushed to the spot and rescue operations were underway, according to the report. The initial assessment did not indicate any injuries, although further details about the condition of the vehicles, the extent of traffic disruption and the cause of the first collision were awaited.
The incident highlighted the immediate operational challenge posed by crashes on the PVNR Expressway, where disabled vehicles can obstruct a confined elevated carriageway and quickly affect traffic movement. Commuters using the route towards Aramghar were asked to follow instructions from traffic personnel while the clearance operation continued.
Further details on the accident and the traffic situation were awaited from the authorities.
