Goa Grievance Camp to Bring Ministers to 10 Talukas on October 17

Goa grievance camp officials assisting residents at a government service counter

Goa’s Sarkar Tumchya Dari programme will bring ministers and government officials to 10 talukas on October 17, giving residents a direct channel to raise grievances and seek assistance with welfare schemes, revenue services and other government procedures.

The initiative will be held from 10am to 1pm in Bicholim, Salcete, Mormugao, Sattari, Ponda, Sanguem, Canacona, Pernem, Tiswadi and Dharbandora. The programme is being conducted under the state government’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, citizens will be able to approach ministers at designated venues across the state. Departmental representatives will also be present to provide information on government services, explain application procedures and assist residents with grievances.

The programme will include counters for several welfare schemes and public services. The CMO said assistance would be available for the Mhaje Ghar Yojana, with deputy collector and mamlatdar counters providing information and support related to the scheme. Revenue department services will also be available through these counters.

Residents will be able to seek information about the Dayanand Social Security Scheme, Griha Aadhar Scheme, Laadli Laxmi Scheme and various agricultural schemes. Application forms and scheme booklets will be made available at the venues, allowing citizens to obtain information and begin procedures during the programme.

The arrangement places ministers, district-level officials and departmental counters at locations closer to residents rather than requiring citizens to visit separate offices for different services. The programme is particularly focused on direct interaction, with the CMO urging citizens to visit the nearest venue to raise concerns or seek guidance from ministers and departmental representatives.

The government’s announcement comes as elections approach, according to the report by the Times of India. The supplied announcement does not specify the number of grievances expected, the designated venues in each taluka, or the mechanism for tracking complaints after the October 17 meetings.

Residents seeking assistance have been asked to attend the venue serving their taluka during the three-hour programme. Ministers and officials are scheduled to hear grievances and provide information on services and welfare schemes during the event.
