Graduate Voter Enrolment Drive Opens for Telangana MLC Seat

Graduate voter enrolment assistance at an electoral registration camp in Telangana

Graduate voter enrolment has begun for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ MLC constituency, with Nalgonda district collector Badugu Chandrasekhar asking political parties and election officials to help identify eligible voters and speed up registration.

The fresh electoral roll is being prepared with November 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. Graduates residing in the erstwhile Nalgonda, Warangal and Khammam districts can apply for inclusion in the constituency’s electoral roll using Form-18.

Chandrasekhar held a meeting with representatives of different political parties at the Nalgonda district collectorate and requested their cooperation in the registration process. He asked parties to identify eligible graduates at booth level and create awareness about the application process.

Tahsildars and booth-level officers have been instructed to conduct door-to-door verification of applications and complete the process by Friday. Modifications and deletions to the electoral roll are also being undertaken in accordance with directions from the Election Commission.

Special enrolment camps are being organised at polling stations on October 15 and 16. The camps are intended to provide an additional channel for eligible graduates to submit applications and seek assistance with registration.

Applications can be submitted online or offline until November 6, 2026. Online applications can be filed through the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana’s website at http://ceo.telangana.nic.in.

The process is significant because the graduates’ constituency covers residents across three former districts and requires eligible voters to be included in a separate electoral roll. Unlike general constituency registration, enrolment for a Graduates’ MLC constituency is based on the eligibility requirements prescribed for that roll and requires the designated Form-18 application.

According to the schedule outlined by the district administration, the draft electoral roll will be published on November 25. Voters and other stakeholders will be able to submit objections or complaints between November 25 and December 10.

After the objections are verified, the final electoral roll for the Graduates’ Constituency is scheduled to be published on December 30, 2026. The district collector said officials and political parties should coordinate to ensure that every eligible person is given the opportunity to register and exercise the right to vote.
