Ahmedabad road accidents scene on a ring road with a motorcycle and heavy vehicle

Ahmedabad road accidents at Sanathal, Odhav and the Aslali-Kamod junction have killed four people in three separate incidents over two days, according to Gujarat Samachar – Ahmedabad. The crashes occurred amid increased night and early-morning traffic during Navratri, and traffic police have registered cases and begun investigations.

The first crash was reported at about 9.15 pm on October 13 on the road from Sanathal towards Ujala, near the Polaris showroom after the Sanathal railway bridge. A motorcycle collided with the rear of a container truck parked on the public road. The report said the truck was allegedly parked without safety measures, a redium reflector or its parking lights switched on.

The two motorcycle occupants, Harshadkumar alias Ravi Arvindbhai Madhvi, 24, and his friend Shani Baldevbhai Raval, 20, suffered serious head injuries. Doctors from the 108 emergency service declared both dead at the scene. On the complaint of Harshad’s younger brother Nileshkumar Arvindbhai Madhvi, SG-2 Traffic Police registered a case against container driver Sahebkhan Ajimkhan of Jharkhand.

The second fatal crash took place at about 8 pm on October 11 on the ring road between Odhav and Nikol, near a hotel. Shailesh Manabhai Roth, 22, a native of Dungarpur who worked as a mason in Ahmedabad, was travelling on a Splendor motorcycle when a Rajasthan-registered trailer truck allegedly hit him. The truck’s tyre ran over him, killing him at the spot. The ‘I’ Division Traffic Police registered a case on a complaint filed by his father, Manabhai Nathabhai Roth.

The third incident was reported on the morning of October 13 on the S.P. Ring Road near the junction between Aslali Circle and Kamod Circle. Bhavesh Bholabhai Dudh at, 33, who lived in Lambha-Narol and worked as a plant manager at a company in Kheda, was travelling on an electric two-wheeler to an office meeting in Makarba.

According to the report, a Bolero pickup vehicle travelling at speed struck the electric two-wheeler from behind. Bhavesh suffered a serious injury to the back of his head and died at the scene. The Bolero driver allegedly fled after the collision. On a complaint by Bhavesh’s wife, Manishaben, K Traffic Police began an investigation.

The three cases involve different road locations and circumstances, including a parked heavy vehicle without visible safety precautions, a collision involving a trailer truck and a hit-and-run involving an electric two-wheeler. The reported crashes have placed attention on the risks faced by two-wheeler users on Ahmedabad’s ring roads and highway approaches during periods of heavier traffic.

Traffic police have registered offences in all three incidents. Investigations are continuing, including action in the case involving the unidentified Bolero pickup driver.
