Indore Trade Licence Crackdown Seals Four Shops Across City

Indore trade licence crackdown at a commercial market with municipal inspection activity

The Indore Municipal Corporation has sealed four shops operating without valid trade licences at Kushwah Nagar Chauraha in Banganga, while its revenue teams inspected commercial establishments across several parts of the city, according to an official release reported by the Times of India.

The action was part of inspections covering markets and commercial areas in Loha Mandi, Sanwer Road, Mangal Nagar, Anand Bazaar, Banganga, Gauri Nagar and other locations. The corporation said the enforcement drive targeted establishments operating without valid licences and urged business owners to obtain and periodically renew the required permissions.

The four shops sealed in the Banganga area were identified as Shree Vinayak Mobile, All Sale and Retail Toy Hub, NTP Shop and The Toy Junction. Other establishments identified during inspections in Banganga and Kushwah Nagar included Sona Ward Service Centre, Wahe Guru Collection, Guru Kripa Toys, Aifa Leisure House and Yash Electronics. The corporation also took action against Sai Purvi Enterprises in Gauri Nagar.

The inspections extended to commercial properties in New Loha Mandi, Scheme No. 78, Mangal Nagar and other areas. In New Loha Mandi, establishments at numbers 103 and 67 were identified, along with five godowns. In Mangal Nagar, the teams covered hostels at numbers 36 and 59 and establishments at 43-F and 49-50.

In Anand Bazaar, the establishments identified included Mahakal Restaurant, Kalpana Traders, 10 shops in Radhika Kunj, Shree New Belt House, two other shops, Star Photocopy and Perfect Aircon. Further action was reported in Rukmani Nagar, Chhota Bangadada, Panchkuiyan and Sector F on Sanwer Road, including properties at numbers 28, 17B-18A, 74-B and 71-A.

The drive also covered Orbit Mall, where the corporation identified Jain Infocom, Certified Reseller, Mobile Guru, Balaji Mobile and Rama Mobile. The wide spread of locations indicates that the municipal action was not limited to a single market or commercial cluster, although the release did not provide the total number of establishments inspected or specify penalties beyond the four shop sealings.

A trade licence is part of the municipal compliance framework for businesses operating within the city. The corporation’s warning places responsibility on business owners to secure the licence and keep it renewed. Establishments found without valid permissions may face further action under the civic body’s enforcement process.

The municipal corporation said inspections and action would focus on businesses operating without valid trade licences. It advised owners across the covered commercial areas to complete the required licensing and renewal process to avoid enforcement measures.
