Kochi–Saudi flights were disrupted on Saturday, with services operated by Saudia, Akasa Air and Air India Express cancelled amid the prevailing situation in the Middle East, according to a report by the Times of India.
Saudia’s SV764 service from Jeddah to Kochi and return flight SV763 were cancelled after the Jeddah–Kochi–Jeddah sector was initially rescheduled. Akasa Air flights QP551 and QP550 on the same sector were also cancelled.
Air India Express flight IX522, operating from Riyadh to Kochi, was cancelled as well. The cancellations affect passengers using Kochi airport for travel between Kerala and Saudi Arabia, including those travelling on routes connecting Jeddah and Riyadh.
The report did not specify how long the disruption would continue or whether additional flights would be affected. It also did not provide details on the reasons for the cancellations beyond linking them to the prevailing situation in the Middle East.
Passengers have been advised to check directly with their respective airlines for the latest flight information before proceeding to Kochi airport. Airline schedules and operating status may change as the situation develops.
