Delhi traffic diversions will be introduced from 6am on October 11 if required by the prevailing law-and-order situation, with movement potentially affected at 30 major junctions and road stretches across New Delhi and Central Delhi. The Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to avoid non-essential travel and allow extra time for journeys to railway stations, interstate bus terminals and the airport.

According to the advisory, the restrictions are dynamic and may be relaxed or imposed based on real-time assessment by traffic personnel. This means that the presence and duration of a diversion could vary during the day, depending on the situation at each location. Commuters travelling through New Delhi and Central Delhi have been asked to plan their routes in advance and keep additional travel time available.
The traffic police has specifically advised passengers heading to railway stations, interstate bus terminals and the airport to account for possible delays. People have also been requested to avoid unnecessary journeys while the traffic arrangements remain in force.
