The Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation has invited applications from eligible Scheduled Caste residents for loans of up to Rs 2 lakh to start self-employment activities, with applications due by 31 December.
The scheme is intended to support applicants seeking to establish their own livelihoods through multiple loan programmes run by the corporation. The announcement was made by Additional Deputy Commissioner Utsav Anand, who said applicants could apply online or through corporation offices, Saral Kendras and Common Service Centres.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Haryana and between 18 and 45 years of age. Their annual family income, according to the Parivar Pehchan Patra, must not exceed Rs 3 lakh. Applicants must also not be defaulters with any bank or government financial institution.
The maximum loan amount varies by scheme. Under the bank tie-up scheme, applicants can seek loans of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. The National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation microfinance scheme offers loans of up to Rs 1 lakh, while the term loan scheme provides up to Rs 2 lakh.
Applicants can also seek loans ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh under the National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation scheme, according to the information released by the corporation. The different limits mean that the amount available will depend on the programme under which an applicant qualifies and the proposed self-employment activity.
The income ceiling and age requirement make the scheme targeted at lower-income households and working-age applicants who want to begin or expand an income-generating activity. The requirement that applicants should not be in default with a bank or government financial institution is also part of the eligibility process.
Applications can be submitted through the corporation’s website, hscfdc.org.in. People may also apply at the nearest corporation office, Saral Kendra or Common Service Centre. These offline channels provide an alternative for applicants who may not complete the online process independently.
The corporation has advised applicants seeking further information to contact 01275-461840. The deadline for submitting applications under the announced window is 31 December.
