The extensive overhaul reflects growing pressure on India’s rapidly expanding urban centres to modernise transport systems while improving liveability and public accessibility.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has outlined a multi-corridor development strategy covering more than 50 kilometres of roads, precinct upgrades, and integrated public infrastructure.
