The Madras High Court has sought a response from the Greater Chennai Corporation following claims that public funds earmarked for the project may not have been fully utilised for their stated purpose.

The case centres on a neighbourhood bridge connecting local streets near Kilpauk and Choolaimedu, an area where mobility upgrades are increasingly tied to flood resilience and urban accessibility.
