Senior officials in Haryana’s health department confirmed that construction preparations for the Civil Lines Hospital project are now advancing after revisions to the earlier development blueprint were completed. Authorities indicated that the designated land parcel and architectural clearances are already in place, allowing the implementing agency to move toward the construction stage. Officials assessed staffing conditions, patient handling systems and service delivery gaps, particularly in emergency and critical care facilities. According to government officials, improving treatment availability within public hospitals remains a priority as authorities attempt to reduce unnecessary patient transfers to private institutions. Concerns were also raised over informal referral practices near emergency facilities, where private ambulance operators and transport agents allegedly influence patients to shift away from government-run centres.
